Together for the Environment

Guided by the belief that Lake Garda is a heritage to be protected, Europlan is committed to a sustainable hospitality model that preserves the environment and its natural resources. With the same passion that has guided the company since its founding, Europlan continues to look forward, combining tradition, innovation, and sustainability on Lake Garda.

Every choice is designed to benefit the local territory and enhance the guest experience. By sourcing local products and investing in electric mobility, Europlan continues to lead the way in combining tradition with modern, sustainable innovation on Lake Garda.

From words to daily actions. Here are the concrete steps Europlan takes toward more sustainable hospitality: plastic reduction, alternative mobility, renewable energy, waste sorting, eco-friendly services, and energy reuse.

1. Plastic reduction:
Europlan minimizes the use of single-use plastic by replacing them with reusable or biodegradable alternatives. In our accommodation, guests will find glassware, porcelain, or compostable material, stainless steel or bamboo for bottles, carafes, cups, and cutlery. Additionally, where possible, refillable soap and shampoo dispensers are used instead of single-use plastic packaging.

2. Alternative mobility:
To encourage sustainable travel, Europlan provides multiple EV charging stations (1, 2, 3, 4, 8), bike and e-bike rentals, and a convenient shuttle service to the historic center of Bardolino (1, 3). To allow a seamless travel throughout the territory, the region offers a growing network of EV chagrin stations positioned around the lake and in the surrounding areas. Sustainable travel on Lake Garda is more accessible than ever.

3. Renewable energy:
Europlan invests in clean energy through on-site solar thermal panels for water heating(6, 7, 8).

4. Energy reuse:
Europlan utilizes heat pump technology to recover waste heat from air conditioning systems for water heating, significantly increasing energy efficiency.

5. Eco-friendly services:
Our properties are equipped with energy and water-saving solutions, including systems that automatically deactivate air conditioning when doors or windows are open, LED or low-energy lighting, and energy-saving key cards (1, 2, 3, 4). To save water, dual-flush toilets (1, 2, 3) are installed throughout. Additionally, linen changes and single-use slippers are available only upon request to minimize waste.

6. Waste sorting:
All Europlan accommodation and offices utilize a comprehensive waste sorting system to ensure responsible waste management.
